Music was a unifying tool within social structures that facilitated and maintained group coherence, awareness and health … by spreading joy and misery equally amongst the collective.
Birth songs, death songs, praise songs…all used to inspire and acknowledge this mundane life as extra ordinary. Until recent times man and his ever teetering balancing act between zombie and divinity uses music in service of whatever demon or Deva they are contracted to. Unknowingly or knowingly.
